Registration for Late-Season Youth Dove Hunt Now Open - Dec. 30, 2010
Registration is currently underway for a late-season Youth Dove Hunt in Baldwin County on January 8, 2011. The hunt will take place at a sunflower and corn field near Summerdale, Ala. To register for this event call the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) district five office at 251-626-5474. Pre-registration is necessary for all youth dove hunts. Hunt schedules and registration information is available in the hunting section of www.outdooralabama.com.

Registration for the South Zone Youth Dove Hunts Now Open - Sep. 21, 2010
Online registration is currently underway for the 10th Annual Youth Dove Hunts in the South Zone counties including Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Dale, Escambia, Geneva, Henry, Houston and Mobile. These events are sponsored by the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) with support from many partners.

Alabama Dove Season Dates Finalized - Aug. 20, 2009
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announces that the 2009 dove seasons for the north and south zones are finalized with the first day of hunting in the north zone on September 5 and the first day of hunting in the south zone on October 3. Both zones will hunt under a 70-day split season with a 15-a-day bag limit.

Conservation Department Schedules Youth Dove Hunts - Aug. 13, 2009
The Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announces registration for the Ninth Annual Youth Dove Hunts begins Aug. 24 for the North Zone and Sept. 21 for the South Zone. South Zone counties include Baldwin, Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Dale, Escambia, Geneva, Henry, Houston and Mobile counties. The remaining counties are in the North Zone.

Conservation Department Schedules Youth Dove Hunts - Aug. 15, 2008
The Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announces registration for the Eighth Annual Youth Dove Hunts begins Aug. 20 for the North Zone and Sept. 24 for the South Zone. To date, over 13,000 young hunters have participated in these annual hunts.

Dove Field Management Seminar August 28 in Cullman - Aug. 07, 2008
A dove field management seminar is scheduled at Camp Meadowbrook in Cullman, Ala., on Thursday, August 28, 2008, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. “Dove Field Management: For Recreation and Farm Income Diversification” is sponsored by the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation in cooperation with the North Alabama Horticulture Research Center and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

Alabama Dove Season Dates Finalized - Jul. 10, 2008
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announces that the final framework for the 2008 dove season has been approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This year the north and south zones in Alabama will hunt under a 70-day season with a 15-a-day bag limit. This change was finalized in late June and represents an increase in the bag limit for the south zone and an increase of the number of hunting days for the north zone.
